One to One Secret Chat only connects people who explicitly pair with each other — there is no directory and strangers cannot contact you. Tap + on the main screen, generate a six-character pairing code, and share it with the one person you want to chat with. They enter it under Enter, and the chat appears on both phones.
Everything is end-to-end encrypted. Encryption keys are generated on your device and never leave it; our servers only ever store ciphertext. This also means we cannot recover your messages if you lose your device — there is no backdoor, by design. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Long-press your own message bubble and choose Unsend within two minutes of sending. The message — including any photo or file — disappears from both phones.
Calls are encrypted and travel directly between the two phones — the audio and video never touch our servers. Placing calls requires the Secret Calls subscription (first month free). Answering a call is always free, even without a subscription.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or in the app go to Settings → Manage subscription. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the current period ends prevents renewal.
Swipe left on the conversation in your chat list and tap Block. The chat is deleted and that person can no longer pair with you. You can review and unblock people under Settings → Blocked Users.
Because chats are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot see message content — but we take reports seriously. Email chenghao.li@gmx.de with the email address of the account you are reporting and a description of the problem. Include screenshots if you can. We review every report and may suspend accounts that violate our terms.
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, conversations, messages, attachments and call records — for you and your chat partners. This cannot be undone, and there is no way for us to restore the data afterwards.
Tap the shield icon in any chat to see your Safety Code. If both phones show the same six groups of numbers, your encryption keys are genuine and nobody is intercepting the conversation.
